Our first swimming pond in Perths Western Suburbs and it feels like we’ve brought a taste of the rocky creeks, streams and pools of the Perth Hills to Claremont

This is our first swimming pond in Perths Western Suburbs and it feels like we’ve brought a taste of the Perth Hills a little closer to the coast. The rocky waterfall and pool really are reminiscent of some of the creek lines and water courses in the hills.

Fortunately we had great access on this block with a full driveway width all the way through to the backyard so we could drive our usual size of swimpond building machines all the way in.

Something Interesting

The owners had looked at the other natural pool options as family skin conditions dictated that a conventional pool wouldn’t work for them. After seeing this system where we strongly recommended creating an underwater ecosystem of fish and plants they were hooked. Most natural pool systems don’t recommend keeping fish in the pool. Not only we recommend but we also find it helps the ecosystem approach swimponds perform better.

And it’s SO MUCH more interesting when you get underwater with a snorkel and mask on.
